How to set up automatic updates on your Apple computer for Mavericks

Today we will be telling you how to easily set up automatic updates on your Apple computer for Mavericks.

First, you will need to open the App Store making sure that your Apple I.D. is logged in. You can double check that you are logged in by looking on the right side of the screen under Quick Links and it should say Welcome (your name.)1

Then, you will need to go up to the apple on the top of your screen and go down to System Preferences. You can also access this by going to your dock to click on the System Preferences icon.2

Then, you will need to go to the App Store icon.3

Once in there, you can decide to check a variety of things. You can decide to choose “Automatically check for updates”  and then you can customize the options below. It is a good idea to have all of them checked so you know you aren’t missing anything. The final option is “Automatically download apps purchased on other Macs” which means that it can update downloads that have happened on other Macs that your Apple I.D. is logged into.4

Next, when you have an update, you will be able to see that by looking at the App Store icon when it has a small red number next to it. So then you can open the App Store again and click the Updates icon on the top of the screen to see what they are.55-1

Once you have done that, you can see what updates are available. You can then click the down arrow next to Update All and decide to Install Now, Try in an Hour, Try Tonight, or Remind Me Tomorrow.6

That is how you can easily set up automatic updates on your Apple computer for Mavericks. Thank you for tuning in and we hope this was very helpful to you.
