This will be a relatively short post. A lot of the things we take for granted on a daily basis are things like folders on our computers! In this post we’ll briefly explain how to add new folders using a variety of different methods and how to create folders within a folder and name them.
1. Make sure your desktop is selected (click on the image on the background of your computer). If you have right click enabled right click on the desktop. A small pop-up menu will appear, select ‘New Folder’. Ta-da!
*If you do NOT have right-click enabled, under ‘Finder’ click on ‘File’ > ‘New Folder’ in the upper left-hand corner. Ta-da!
There you have it, super easy and simple! You can group folders inside another folder by simply dragging them over on top of another and you can name them by clicking once on the folder name to highlight it, pausing, and then click once more. When you are done typing a new name, click on your desktop again to de-select the folder.
